For the first time in years it snowed in Austin enough to shut everything down - the city is officially closed. Where I'm at we probably got just barely over an inch of snow, but that's enough to turn the streets to ice and for everyone to just freak out. Growing up in Utah an inch of snow is nothing and we actually had at least two storms over Christmas & New Years that dumped about 8-10" of snow. This was a minor inconvenience for Utah but was generally handled very well with minor disruptions. For Austin though they just don't have the resources to deal with any snow at all. Plus, the snow here is a lot more icy which makes things a lot worse. If nothing else the snow makes for a lot of fun for me and Pungi, he's a dog in heaven.
