As I'm spending my day today at BlogathonATX it would only be appropriate for me to finally update my own blog. So, with more pictures than words, here are some pictures from my recent trip to Yellowstone. We visited the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center where the bears were playful and plentiful while the wolves were more interested in napping than in posing for the cameras. We also spent some time exploring the Norris Geyser Basin for what might have been our first time. I just got a Panasonic GF1 with the 20mm F1.7 pancake lens. Here are some of my first pictures with it. I'm really loving it so far. This will be the camera that I take everywhere with me. My Nikon D300 is great, but it's too big and heavy to take with me everywhere I go.
These were all taken in Zilker Park on a nice warm February afternoon. The 20mm lens is very nice - sharp, fast and compact. It makes an excellent companion to the GF1.

Actually Bibble 5.0.2 is out! it's been a while since I updated this thing. Bibble is a fast, feature rich RAW workflow application that I've spent the last 3 years working on (along with the rest of the team). One of the things that I'm most proud of is the performance we've been able to achieve with Bibble. Bibble is fully multi-threaded and scales all the way up to 32 CPU cores. Our biggest competitors, Aperture & Lightroom, only really use about 4 CPUs and don't perform much better beyond that - you'll see some gain with more CPUs but the performance increase is not linear like it is with Bibble.
Anyway, Bibble is a great program for any kind of photographer and especially for those that have a lot of images to work through. If speed is important to you then Bibble will save you time. But Bibble isn't just about speed, the tools we have for editing images let you easily and quickly get the most out of your images.
Well, that's it for now. If you're into photography give Bibble a try. And please spread the word.

So here's the tracking log for my copy of Halo ODST which is now a day late and has yet to arrive. Talk about the long route. It starts in Coffeyville, KS and makes its way to Tulsa, OK. Everything's looking good so far, it's at least heading towards Austin. But then we get a nice long detour to Louisville, KY - Kentucky? Really? Yes, I'm sure everyone when driving from Tulsa, OK to Austin decides to take a nice detour through Kentucky. From there it makes its way to Dallas, TX and finally is now in Austin "out for delivery." Perhaps I should have just gone to the store? View Larger Map Be first to comment this article | Add as favourites (161) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 1107 |
